1, 2, 3 … 10! uhm, dimensions

1, 2, 3 … 10! uhm, dimensions

I have recently stumbled upon an interesting website containing a short animation. Of course, the net is full of animations, but what makes this one special is its attempt of illustrating a rather intellectually demanding concept: the extra dimensions.

Watch the video below: if you get to the seventh dimension and think you understood how this line of thinking works, then probably you’ll want to visit Imagining the Tenth Dimension website and Rob Bryanton’s blog (he’s the author of the book bearing the same title).

  1. Thanks for your kind words, Marian. I’m glad you enjoyed my animation. It’s been fascinating watching people’s reactions to this. Some people call it mind-blowing, while some people don’t get what I’m trying to do: there are a number of different schools of thought blended together in this project. If you type tenth dimension faq into google you’ll find a blog entry linking to the many tangents this animation leads to.
I have posted a link to your entry in my Interesting Links section at the tenth dimension blog.

    Thanks!
    Rob Bryanton
