State of flux
Since its inception in September 2007, this site has gone through a number of face lifts, upgrades, updates and other technical changes, some of them I have documented. Since I’m selectively restoring posts from the old database, I thought of gathering all these scattered entries into a single article.
Let the versions roll!
The need to keep everything up and running and up to date on the IT front is starting to become cumbersome. When does “fast” become “too fast”, and when does “necessary” become rather more “you’d better do it, or else”? I don’t know, but I’m starting to get this nagging feeling…
Tweaking WP
Well, technically it’s about tweaking Vicuna theme for WP and the difficulties one might encounter when trying to make use of an application with support in foreign language.
Are you in debugging mode?
Part of the joys of having a PC is the occasional troubleshooting one has to go through. Hardware, software, drivers, sometimes they all seem to conspire against you in making it a pain in the rear to find and apply a solution to your incidental usability problem. Luckily, there’s the Internet to scour for answers.
Back on WP2
Time to put aside the doubts, and move forward. The winner blogging platform turned out to be WordPress. It’s more intuitive and simple at its core for my publishing and editing needs.
